Libra Celebrities: Why the Scales Keep Producing the Most Likeable People

Libra Celebrities: Why the Scales Keep Producing the Most Likeable People. Libra season keeps producing people everyone seems to like. Actors. Musicians. Writers. Athletes. Leaders. People who can enter a room, improve the atmosphere and somehow make it look effortless. This is not an accident. Libra is the sign of balance, relationships, beauty and social intelligence. It is also the sign most likely to say, “I am happy with either option,” while having a very strong private preference. Here are fifteen Libra celebrities. The peacemakers, the performers, and the ones who simply make a spectacle of being themselves. Lord Horatio Nelson Born: 29 SeptemberElement: AirStar sign: LibraAstrominal character: Libby the Libra The Problem: Libra wants the whole room moving in harmony. A flamingo flock is much easier to organise than a fleet of ships. What They Did: Horatio Nelson became one of Britain’s most celebrated naval commanders, leading major victories during the French Revolutionary and Napoleonic Wars. Their Signature Move: “Everyone hold formation. We are going to make history look organised.” Nelson’s Libra quality was leadership through coordination. Balance, but with cannons. Will Smith Born: 25 SeptemberElement: AirStar sign: LibraAstrominal character: Libby the Libra The Problem: A flamingo can look relaxed while carefully balancing. Will Smith has made an entire career out of appearing comfortable while doing several jobs at once. What They Did: He became a successful rapper, starred in The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, led major films and won the Academy Award for Best Actor for King Richard. Their Signature Move: “Keep the mood light. I will handle the other twelve jobs.” Serena Williams Born: 26 SeptemberElement: AirStar sign: LibraAstrominal character: Libby the Libra The Problem: Libra likes balance. Serena Williams prefers to establish it, dominate it and win the next point. What They Did: She became one of the greatest tennis players ever, winning 23 Grand Slam singles titles and spending years at world number one. Their Signature Move: “The scales are balanced. The trophy cabinet is not.” Like a flamingo holding one leg steady, Serena made control look natural. It was not natural. It was elite skill. Jenna Ortega Born: 27 SeptemberElement: AirStar sign: LibraAstrominal character: Libby the Libra The Problem: Libra wants beauty and harmony. Jenna Ortega has proved that beauty can also stare directly into your soul. What They Did: She became widely recognised for playing Wednesday Addams and built a strong screen presence across Wednesday, Scream and You. Their Signature Move: “The look is balanced. The expression is not.” The flamingo connection is clear. Elegant silhouette. Unexpectedly strange up close. Mahatma Gandhi Born: 2 OctoberElement: AirStar sign: LibraAstrominal character: Libby the Libra The Problem: Libra does not simply want peace. Libra wants a lasting settlement, a fair process and preferably a better arrangement for everyone. What They Did: Gandhi became a central leader of the Indian independence movement and developed powerful campaigns of nonviolent resistance. Their Signature Move: “Let us settle this without making the room worse.” Like flamingos moving as a flock, Gandhi’s work focused on collective action. One creature can balance. A group must learn how to move together. Sting Born: 2 OctoberElement: AirStar sign: LibraAstrominal character: Libby the Libra The Problem: Libra hears one imperfect note and immediately begins considering the emotional architecture of the entire song. What They Did: Sting became the lead singer and bassist of The Police before building a successful solo career, with multiple Grammy Awards along the way. Their Signature Move: “I have considered every note. This one stays.” Flamingos are colourful because of what they consume. Sting has made his influences part of his recognisable style. Gwen Stefani Born: 3 OctoberElement: AirStar sign: LibraAstrominal character: Libby the Libra The Problem: Libra cannot simply perform. The outfit, the lighting, the movement and the mood all need to agree. What They Did: Gwen Stefani led No Doubt, built a successful solo career and became known for her distinctive fashion and visual style. Their Signature Move: “The outfit is part of the arrangement.” Flamingos do not apologise for being pink. Gwen does not apologise for making an entrance. John Lennon Born: 9 OctoberElement: AirStar sign: LibraAstrominal character: Libby the Libra The Problem: Libra imagines a more peaceful world, then starts examining every reason the current one is not working. What They Did: John Lennon co-founded The Beatles, helped shape modern popular music and created influential solo work, including “Imagine”. Their Signature Move: “Imagine a better arrangement.” His flamingo quality was the ability to stand apart from the flock while still thinking about the flock. Independent, social and permanently negotiating with the world. Cardi B Born: 11 OctoberElement: AirStar sign: LibraAstrominal character: Libby the Libra The Problem: Libra weighs every option. Cardi B weighs them, rejects the quiet ones and selects the option with the strongest entrance. What They Did: Her debut album, Invasion of Privacy, won the Grammy Award for Best Rap Album. She also became known for major chart hits and a highly recognisable public voice. Their Signature Move: “I have reviewed the choices. I choose the loudest one.” Hugh Jackman Born: 12 OctoberElement: AirStar sign: LibraAstrominal character: Libby the Libra The Problem: Libra wants to keep every talent available. Acting, singing, dancing, action roles. Why choose one when the flamingo has two legs? What They Did: Hugh Jackman became internationally known as Wolverine and earned acclaim in musical theatre, including a Tony Award for The Boy from Oz. Their Signature Move: “Yes, I can do the claws. I can also tap-dance.” Usher Born: 14 OctoberElement: AirStar sign: LibraAstrominal character: Libby the Libra The Problem: Libra notices when a room feels awkward. Usher responds by adding choreography. What They Did: He became one of the best-selling R&B artists, with multi-platinum albums including Confessions and multiple Grammy Awards. Their Signature Move: “That awkward pause? It needed choreography.” Like a flamingo flock, Usher’s performances rely on timing, formation and everyone knowing where to move next. Oscar Wilde Born: 16 OctoberElement: AirStar sign: LibraAstrominal character: Libby the Libra

Gift Ideas for a Libra

Gift Ideas for a Libra: 12 Presents, Reviewed by Libby the Flamingo Looking for gift ideas for a Libra? Buying for a Libra (23 September – 22 October) is easy in one way. Whatever you give them, they’ll say they love it. They’ll say it warmly. They’ll say it while admiring the ribbon. They’ll say it even if you’ve given them a novelty toilet-roll holder shaped like a goose. So we asked an expert. Libby the Flamingo is the Libra Astrominal: graceful, sociable, and able to stand on one leg for hours, mostly because she can’t decide which leg to put down. We showed her twelve gift ideas and asked for her honest opinion. That went about as well as you’d expect. But we got there. 1. A beautiful candle, scent already chosen Never ask a Libra to pick between three scents. Libby says: “The fig one is lovely. But the linen one is also lovely. Although the rose one is— no. Don’t make me. Just choose. I’ll love whichever. That’s not a test. Or is it? It’s not.” 2. A notebook worth writing in Libras weigh everything up. Give them somewhere handsome to do it. Libby says: “I’ll use it for a list of pros and cons. Then a list of pros and cons about that list. It’s a two-notebook situation, really.” 3. A watercolour set Libras have a natural eye for colour, even if they’ve never painted a thing. Libby says: “I mostly paint sunsets. They’re the only thing in nature that’s as pink as I am. We understand each other.” 4. Tickets for two Theatre, a gallery, a concert. The second ticket is the real present. Libby says: “Going on your own is fine. Going with a friend means you can spend the interval agreeing with each other. That’s the best bit.” 5. Afternoon tea Tiny sandwiches, matching cups, everything arranged in tiers. Libby says: “Symmetrical scones. Three of each. I will not be explaining what happens if there are four.” 6. A flamingo-pink plant An anthurium or a pink calathea brings a little Libby into the house. Libby says: “Choose one that’s forgiving. I’ll love it. I’ll just move it to four different windowsills before it settles. We all need to find our light.” 7. A silk pillowcase Soft, elegant, quietly luxurious. Libby says: “I don’t need beauty sleep. But I wouldn’t say no to it either. That’s very Libra of me, isn’t it.” 8. A matching pair of bookends Symmetry, but useful. Libby says: “One on each side. Equal. Fair. Lovely. If you give me one bookend I will spend the evening worrying about the books on the other end.” 9. A record, or a playlist you made Libras love music best when it’s shared. Libby says: “A playlist is the nicer present, because it means you were thinking of me for at least forty minutes. Possibly an hour, with the bonus tracks.” 10. Simple, elegant jewellery Nothing loud. Libra style is about proportion. Libby says: “Earrings, because they come in pairs. Bracelets make me nervous. Which wrist? It’s not fair on the other one.” 11. A class to do together Pottery, baking, flower arranging. Libby says: “I’d love to learn something new, as long as there’s someone next to me to say ‘ooh, yours is nice’ to. And they say it back. That’s the whole hobby.” 12. An Astrominals Libra birthday card Whatever else you choose, put it with a card that understands them. The Astrominals zodiac birthday cards feature Libby herself, framed by a border of true-to-sign Libra traits. Libby says: “I’ve seen it. I look wonderful. I’m not saying that because it’s me. I’m saying it because it’s balanced, and the pink is correct.” Libby’s three rules for buying a Libra a present Don’t make them choose. “A voucher means I have to decide. A voucher is homework.” Wrap it nicely. “Matching paper and ribbon. I’ll notice. I’ll probably keep the ribbon. I’ve got a drawer.” Nothing garish. “I’ll still say I love it. I’ll mean it kindly. It will live in a cupboard, kindly, forever.” So, which present will Libby choose for herself? Libby says: “All of them are lovely. Can I get back to you?” Not sure which Astrominal you’re buying for? Take the quiz, or meet Libby the Flamingo and the rest of Team Air. Astrological and zoological. Illogically logical.

Relationships with a Libran

Libra Compatibility: How Libby the Flamingo Gets On With Every Star Sign We asked Libby the Flamingo, the Libra Astrominal (23 September – 22 October), how she gets on with the other signs. Her first draft gave all twelve signs ten out of ten. We asked her to be honest. Her second draft gave them all ten out of ten, with a note saying “but in different ways”. Libby + Arri (Aries) My opposite sign. Arri says, “Let’s go!” I say, “Shall we talk about where?” By the time I’ve weighed up both options, Arri has been to both places and come back. Verdict: he gets me moving, I get him thinking. Perfectly balanced. (Of course.) Libby + Taur (Taurus) We both love beautiful things. We went shopping for one cushion and came home with forty. Taur sat on all of them at once. Verdict: a stunning living room with nowhere to stand. Libby + Gem & Eye (Gemini) Fellow birds, fellow air signs, fellow chatterboxes. They disagree with each other and I agree with both of them. It’s the most peaceful argument in the world. Verdict: chatting in the clouds, forever. Libby + Canny (Cancer) If anyone raises their voice, Canny hides in a shell and I hide behind my own leg. It doesn’t hide much of me. I’m very pink. Verdict: a gentle friendship. A very visible hiding place. Libby + Leo (Leo) Leo likes to stand in front. I let him, because it’s polite, and because from behind him I get a lovely view of his mane. Verdict: fabulous together. He thinks he’s the fabulous one. Let him. Libby + Virgo (Virgo) I make things pretty, Virgo makes things neat. I adjusted a picture frame two millimetres to the left. Virgo adjusted it back. We did this for an afternoon. It was the nicest afternoon. Verdict: beauty meets order. Eventually. Libby + Libby (Libra) Two Libras at a restaurant. “What would you like?” “Whatever you’d like!” “No, you choose!” The restaurant closed. We had a lovely time. Verdict: everyone’s very happy and very hungry. Libby + Score (Scorpio) Score says exactly what she thinks. I say exactly what everyone else thinks, so nobody’s upset. Score finds this baffling. I find Score thrilling. Verdict: she’s my brave friend. I’m her calm one. Libby + Sagg (Sagittarius) Sagg asked if I fancied an adventure. I spent three days deciding between the jungle and the beach. Sagg booked both. I went to both. I loved both, equally, obviously. Verdict: Sagg solves my decisions by not making any. Libby + Cap (Capricorn) Cap is the boss, I’m the diplomat. Cap says, “Do it now.” I say, “What Cap means is, whenever’s lovely for you, but now would be lovely.” Verdict: Cap gets results. I get smiles. The team gets both. Libby + Aqua (Aquarius) Fellow air sign and fellow bird. Aqua has a hundred ideas for changing the world. I make sure everyone’s happy about it. She keeps snacks in her pouch. I keep peace in mine. (I don’t have a pouch.) Verdict: two birds, one big beautiful plan. Libby + Pike (Pisces) Pike and I both hate arguments. When the others fall out, Pike writes a poem about it and I read it out on one leg. Everyone forgets what they were cross about. Verdict: the zodiac’s peace-keeping force. Libby’s sign-off: If you know a Libra, please don’t ask us to choose. Between anything. Ever. We love you all exactly the same. (But please do bring cake, and cut it into very equal slices.) The 10 best things about being a Libran

The 10 Best Things About Being a Libra, by Libby the Flamingo We asked Libby the Flamingo, the Libra Astrominal, to write a list of the ten best things about being a Libra (23 September – 22 October). She said she’d love to. Then she asked whether it should be ten, or whether nine would feel more balanced, or eleven, so nobody felt left out. We said ten. She said ten was lovely. 1. We’re fair Libra’s symbol is the scales. Everything has to be even. Same-sized slices of cake. Same number of turns. Same amount of time on the swing. Fair’s fair. 2. We make peace If two friends fall out, call a Libra. We’ll listen to both sides, nod a lot, and somehow everyone ends up sharing a sandwich. 3. We’re ruled by Venus Venus is the planet of beauty and kindness. Which explains why Libras are so lovely. We didn’t say it. Venus did. 4. We have excellent taste The right colours. The right cushions. The right shade of pink. A Libra just knows. (It’s flamingo pink. It’s always flamingo pink.) 5. We’re brilliant friends Libras love company. We’ll remember your favourite things, laugh at your jokes and tell you when there’s spinach in your teeth. Gently. 6. We see the good in everyone Even Score, when she’s being mysterious. Even Arri, when he’s knocked something over. Everyone has a lovely side. We find it. 7. We’re graceful I can stand on one leg for hours. I can also stand on the other leg for hours. I just can’t decide which one to start with. 8. We’re great listeners Tell a Libra your problem and we’ll give it our full attention. Then we’ll give you both sides of it. Then we’ll give you a hug. 9. We love beautiful things Sunsets, music, art, a nicely laid table. Life’s better when it’s lovely, and a Libra makes sure it is. 10. We take our time Some people call it indecisive. We call it thorough. The best choices are worth waiting for. Probably. Let me think about it. Libby says: “That’s ten. I think. Should number seven be number three? No. Leave it. It’s lovely as it is.” Think you might be a Libra at heart? Take the quiz, or meet Libby the Flamingo and the rest of Team Air. Astrological and zoological. Illogically logical.

Why R Librans Flamingos?

Why R Librans Flamingos? </h1 > LIBRA is an air sign …and Astrologically air signs are known for their love of freedom. So Logically and Zoologically air signs are birds. …. It’s just logical! However, unlike Gemini and Aquarius, who get lost in their thoughts when their vivid imaginations take them on flights of fancy, the Libra Zoods R more down-to-earth. While Flamingos can fly, they never go very high and spend most of their time on the ground. Libras are realistic, have their feet on the ground but their imagination and creativity means that they do it creatively – usually on just one leg! Flamingo and Libra Zoods are beautiful people ….and style icons. On trend and smelling great. Libra girls love their beauty routines and make-up, and they are always the first to try the latest trends in the beauty industry. In general, Libras love beautiful things, they have a sense for design, home decorating, and fashion. Everything that looks pretty attracts Libra. They are the Tastemeisters. And fabulous flamingos are one of the most beautiful birds on the planet. Pink and perfect with soft luxurious feathers, they are totally refined and cute the flamingo too has a beauty regime of sorts, they are what they eat. They dine on algae and brine shrimp which contain pigments called carotenoids which turn their feathers that lovely pink. Flamingos and Librans love to be in a crowd. Libra is know for having lots of friends. But family first. The Libra Zood leans on family when feeling down, and when their family is a mess, they don’t feel good or happy! But it’s not just about family. A Libra almost always has plenty of friends and so many different people in their gang, they move together and organize common activities. But the most important thing about our Libra Zood Flamingo, is, of course, balance. Have you ever seen a Flamingo? They spend their days balancing, when Flamingos get tired, they just switch legs. They even sleep like that. This cute pinky perfectly manages to achieve balance. The Libra Zood wants a balance in their life. The balance between emotions and reason, between work and play, between friends and family. This is probably their greatest virtue and biggest problem! But it’s a storm in a tea cup, usually.  A Brain Storm in a Tea cup that is. They always figure it out …..eventually. This is sometimes an annoying aspect of Libra Zoods. They have the ability to ALWAYS see both sides of the story. The Libra Zood are always indecisive and struggle to make a decision for the same reason. They love  balance. But beware too much balance and then they’ll do something rash, just to set things spinning, just so they can rush in and set to balancing it all again. They are born diplomats & Bad Ass Pascifists! Flamingos move in packs and logically that they find a mate in their group. It’s the same with Libras. They tend to look for a partner within their social group – among friends and colleagues at work. That’s why the relationships of a Libra are usually long-lasting. Some Libras can even hang out with one person for years ….until, eventually they realize that something more can happen. Psychologists claim that the best relationships are those which are developed from friendship. A Libra Zood is one of the most popular members of the astrominals. They are charismatic, sweet, and cool! Wherever they appear, people simply adore them….. Just like Flamingos!
